Why I Started Reselling Vintage Clothing

Why did I start reselling vintage clothing?

I asked myself this question, and decided to answer it in a blog post. 😊

Well, first thing is always first- I love clothes/fashion, and I find myself always looking for a way to incorporate it into anything I'm doing.  I even tried incorporating it into my business as a real estate agent!  I had come up with so many ridiculous names; hautecouturerealtor, the couture real estate agent, etc.  🥴

So it was 2020- that year everyone started a new business venture, and I decided to resell some of the clothes in my closet on Poshmark.  I did that for a while, with my niche on Poshmark being the Banana Republic, Anne Taylor, chinos, preppy style; I eventually opened up an eBay shop called fineartclothes.  

A couple of years later, I ran into a mate from fashion design school. She was also reselling clothes at the time.  She suggested I should concentrate on vintage clothing, stating that she felt it aligned with my person take on fashion. I was immediately flattered and sold.  This opened me up to mainly women's vintage clothing. It was so fitting because I already have a love for fine design utilizing fabric, hated fast fashion, and yearned for the old days of shopping at Loehmann's and finding not just name brands, but designers.

And that's when Killah Closetz was born.
